The National Council has served as the voice of Social Security Administration (SSA) field office and teleservice center management personnel for 30 years. We make our voice heard in many different ways. The NCSSMA periodically surveys management to identify concerns and gather information on a variety of issues such as staffing, workloads, and providing service to the public. Management Survey reports summarize the results of these surveys. We emphasize the importance of good government relations with Congress by maintaining a dedicated presence on Capitol Hill through our Government Relations Consultant. In addition, we try to get our positions
known through the dissemination of position papers and adoption of
resolutions. We forward letters to SSA's Central Office
expressing our views and share the minutes of our Executive
Committee meetings with our members and interested parties.
